Prudential plc updates on latest share buybacks and share capital reduction

Prudential plc announced that it cancelled 381,182 ordinary shares on Jul, 09 2026, following repurchases carried out on Jul, 07 2026.

The insurer also reported that on Jul, 09 2026, it bought back a further 390,473 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange, which are intended for cancellation. These shares were repurchased at prices ranging from GBP 10.12 to GBP 10.285 per share.

After the latest cancellation, Prudential plc’s issued share capital comprises 2,509,447,619 ordinary shares. The company said an additional 382,956 shares repurchased on Jul, 08 2026 and the 390,473 shares bought on Jul, 09 2026 remain to be cancelled.

The repurchases form part of the authority granted by shareholders on May, 14 2025, under which the company is permitted to repurchase up to 262,668,701 shares. As of Jul, 09 2026, Prudential plc has repurchased 103,499,039 shares under this mandate, representing approximately 3.97% of its issued share capital at the time of approval.

The company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares until Aug, 08 2026, following the recent buyback activity.
