Volcano Engine announced at the AI Innovation Tour's Wuhan stop that the Seedance 2.0 API is now open for public testing to enterprise users. The company stated that it has established industry-leading copyright and portrait protection for Seedance 2.0, covering various modalities involved in video generation and the entire creation process. This system detects and defends against infringement and deepfake activities, effectively safeguarding the rights of copyright holders and creators.

As of March this year, the Doubao large language model has exceeded 120 trillion tokens in daily usage, doubling over the past three months and representing a thousand-fold increase since its initial release in May 2024. The number of enterprises on Volcano Engine with cumulative token usage surpassing one trillion has grown from 100 at the end of last year to 140.

Tan Dai, President of Volcano Engine, highlighted that token usage is a core metric for measuring the pace of AI development. The recent rapid growth in the Doubao model's usage is primarily driven by the explosion in AI video creation and the accelerated adoption of AI agents.

Citing the lobster-type agent service ArkClaw launched by Volcano Engine as an example, Tan noted that ArkClaw has undergone continuous rapid iteration since its release. It can integrate with Feishu in seconds and be easily configured on messaging channels like WeChat, DingTalk, and Weibo. The service has also upgraded its cloud storage functionality, providing efficient end-to-cloud collaborative storage space.

Based on the ArkClaw experience, Tan further elaborated that three key elements for enterprises to effectively utilize lobster-type services are the model, security, and Skills. The latest Doubao large model 2.0 series has achieved breakthroughs in core capabilities such as multimodal understanding and complex task execution, positioning it within the global top tier. Regarding security, Volcano Engine has officially passed the "Trusted Capability Certification for Intelligent Assistant Agent Products" and the "Product Effectiveness Certification for Security Protection" from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology for its lobster-type products, becoming the only domestic manufacturer to simultaneously hold both certifications.

Additionally, Peter Steinberger, founder of the OpenClaw open-source project, jointly announced with Volcano Engine the official launch of the ClawHub China mirror site. This initiative aims to provide a more user-friendly experience for Chinese developers and foster a thriving global lobster ecosystem.

Tan Dai believes that enterprise Agents will evolve along two parallel paths in the future. The first is Agile Agents, represented by digital assistant products like ArkClaw, which focus on exploring and enhancing individual productivity and serve as an innovation testbed for companies. The second is Steady-State Agents, which enable the procedural and scalable implementation of AI best practices within enterprises, primarily addressing organizational productivity challenges. Volcano Engine's HiAgent offers a one-stop service for the development, operation, and management of Steady-State Agents. Tan concluded that Agile Agents and Steady-State Agents are complementary, forming an evolutionary flywheel that helps enterprises achieve a value closed-loop and successfully undergo AI-driven transformation and upgrade.
