A seminar focused on intellectual property, titled "AI Empowers Industry & IP Safeguards Development," was recently held at the Ji Bao Jing An Center. The event aimed to provide insights from both regulatory enforcement and corporate practice perspectives.
During the keynote presentations, a specialized police officer from the Jiangning Road Police Station delivered a talk on "Intellectual Property Protection and Crime-Fighting Practices." By analyzing real cases from the jurisdiction, the presentation offered practical lessons on investigating IP cases, highlighting the crucial question of "how to solve issues after they occur" and sounding an alarm for business operational security.
A lawyer from a Beijing-based firm's Shanghai office then addressed the topic of "Navigating Intellectual Property Risks in AIGC." From the standpoint of "how to prevent issues beforehand," the lawyer outlined the potential infringement boundaries in the commercial application of AI for enterprises, providing actionable guidelines for risk mitigation.
A roundtable discussion followed, moderated by a deputy director from the Jing'an District Intellectual Property Office. Participants engaged in an in-depth dialogue on defining the "boundaries" and building "collaborative efforts" for IP protection in the AI era. The session featured an on-site "corporate consultation," offering professional answers to businesses' questions regarding policy direction, risk prevention, and access to service resources, effectively creating a model where "enterprises raise the issues, the government provides the platform, and multiple parties contribute solutions."
In response to the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, the Jiangning Road sub-district is actively guiding businesses to adopt AI tools in a manner that is "proficient, confident, yet cautious," aiming to make intellectual property a solid shield for companies navigating market challenges.
Concurrently, to comprehensively enhance its integrated investment and service capabilities, the sub-district is advancing a tripartite mechanism integrating Party-building, business environment, and governance. This involves cultivating a versatile service team and strengthening grid-based management to achieve cross-departmental resolution of corporate appeals.
Moving forward, the sub-district pledges to continue its dedicated service ethos, strengthen its brand portfolio for business engagement, and fully implement its suite of 49 service measures for enterprises.
The "Business Gathering Salon" is a corporate service brand established by the Jiangning Road sub-district, which has successfully held six sessions since its inception. In the first half of this year, the sub-district further enriched its service offerings by establishing a corporate intellectual property service station, forming an advisory panel, and publishing a "Corporate Intellectual Property Service Guide."
The Jiangning Road sub-district has indicated that it will continue to leverage its series of business engagement platforms to smooth communication channels between government and enterprises. By fostering a high-quality business environment, it aims to empower high-quality regional economic development and collaborate with businesses to create a new chapter of mutual benefit and shared success.
