On the morning of August 17, a policy interpretation press conference was held by the Information Office of the Hunan Provincial People's Government regarding the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Development of the Smart Robotics Industry."

At the event, Vice Governor Yu Hongsheng of the province outlined that, based on the province's industrial strengths, innovation capacity, and market potential, Hunan will concentrate on key areas including industrial robots, consumer service robots, and special operation robots. The goal is to establish a comprehensive industry chain system.

Two phased quantitative targets have been set that are achievable through dedicated effort: by 2028, the province aims to achieve a revenue of over 100 billion yuan across the smart robotics industry chain and cultivate around five chain-leading enterprises, alongside a number of specialized and innovative supporting companies. By 2030, the target is to exceed 200 billion yuan in industry chain revenue, nurture approximately ten chain-leading enterprises, and position the province's overall industrial strength among the nation's top tier.
