Data from Ruili Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection Station reveals that from the start of the year until June 30th, the total number of inbound and outbound passengers processed at various Ruili ports and crossings reached 3,081,500.

The daily average for passenger clearance stood at approximately 17,000, marking a 10.8% increase compared to the same period last year.

The majority of travelers consisted of cross-border business professionals, border residents engaged in mutual market trade, students commuting across the border, individuals visiting family and friends, and tourists, indicating a sustained rise in people-to-people exchanges and trade flows between China and Myanmar.

Periods such as the Spring Festival, the Water-Splashing Festival, and Labor Day, coinciding with peak border trade seasons, led to multiple surges in passenger traffic at the ports.

Ruili City is systematically advancing upgrade and expansion projects for fast-track inspection equipment at its ports, with plans to add biometric fast-track channels.

These improvements aim to gradually integrate facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, and document verification, effectively reducing passenger waiting times and shortening individual inspection durations.

An AR real-time panoramic mapping system at the ports monitors pedestrian flow across all channels in real-time, accurately predicting peak periods and issuing alerts.

The comprehensive rollout of online pre-arrival registration for foreign nationals has significantly cut down on-site form-filling wait times for international travelers, markedly enhancing the clearance experience.

Dedicated channels are routinely operational, including fast-track lanes for Chinese citizens, a "Sunshine Channel" for cross-border students, green channels for fresh produce, and emergency medical channels.

Operational measures such as flexibly opening additional counters and dynamically adjusting police deployment are implemented to precisely address bottlenecks and challenges in passenger processing, leading to continuous improvements in the overall clearance experience.
