Lenovo Group's stock soared 5.16% during intraday trading on Tuesday, reflecting strong investor optimism.
The surge follows positive outlooks from multiple financial institutions on the company's AI business prospects. Goldman Sachs highlighted that Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group, AI PCs, and AI servers are expected to drive a re-rating of the company, enabling diversification away from competitive consumer electronics while benefiting from generative AI trends.
Huatai Securities similarly noted that amid accelerating AI investment, Lenovo is well-positioned to benefit from sustained high demand for AI servers. According to IDC data, Lenovo rose to second place globally in the x86 server market by revenue in the first quarter, with revenue surging 36.5% year-over-year and AI server revenue growing 50% annually, backed by an order backlog exceeding 140 billion RMB.
