SATS Ltd. (S58) said on May, 06 2026 that it has acquired an additional 40% interest in Nanjing Weizhou Airline Food Corp., Ltd., lifting its holding in the Chinese aviation‐meal producer to 90%.

The shares were purchased from NWA founder and general manager Luo Bo, giving SATS operational control of the company, which specialises in frozen meals for airline customers across China.

SATS first bought a 50% stake in 2019 to access frozen aviation‐meal technology and product innovation. Since then, NWA has more than doubled its revenue as Chinese airlines increased the use of frozen meals on domestic routes.

The new transaction is intended to help SATS capitalise on rising demand for high-quality frozen meals, generate synergies with SATS China’s operations and strengthen its China Food Solutions platform.

NWA operates from a catering hub in Nanjing and a network of on- and off-airport assembly kitchens nationwide. The company recovered quickly after the Covid-19 pandemic and has maintained a leading position in China’s frozen aviation-meal market, according to the announcement.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
