Goodbaby International’s 2025 ESG Report Shows 56% Drop in Scope 1-2 Emissions and 34% Cut in Water Intensity

Goodbaby International has published its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance Report, approved by the board on 27 March 2026. The disclosure covers operations in mainland China, Germany, the United States and Mexico for the period 1 January–31 December 2025.

Environmental Performance • Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse-gas emissions fell 56% versus the 2020 base year, while intensity declined 58% to 2.69 tCO₂e per HKD million of revenue. • Scope 3 emissions intensity dropped 22% from 2024 levels. • Rooftop solar installations reached 10.16 MW, generating 5,625 MWh, and 1,006 MWh of additional renewable electricity was procured. • Water-consumption intensity decreased 34% year-on-year to 50.04 m³ per HKD million of revenue. • Waste-recycling rate improved to 57.1%, and packaging-material intensity was cut 11.7% from 2024; 100% of packaging is now recyclable.

Strategic Targets • 60% reduction in Scope 1-2 emissions intensity by 2035 (vs 2020) and net-zero operations by 2050. • 50% reduction in Scope 3 emissions intensity from purchased goods and services by 2035 (vs 2024). • 40% drop in packaging-material intensity by 2027 (vs 2021) plus 100% recyclable packaging—already achieved in 2025. • 80% waste-recycling rate by 2030.

Product and Innovation Highlights • 439 new patent applications were filed, lifting the cumulative total to 13,222. • More than 30 core products underwent life-cycle assessments; Green & Gentle™ recycled textiles expanded to six Evenflo items. • Airbag-equipped child-safety seat CYBEX Anoris T2 won the Compasso d’Oro International Award; gb SWAN PRO secured a Red Dot Design Award. • The group led or participated in 16 international and 335 total standard-setting projects.

Workforce and Social Metrics • Female employees represented 55% of headcount; overall staff turnover fell 8.6% year-on-year. • No work-related fatalities or severe injuries occurred; lost-time injuries stood at 1,912 hours. • 140,000-plus training hours were delivered, and 100% of employees completed annual code-of-conduct declarations.

Governance and Supply Chain • A board-level ESG committee was formed; ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications now cover all China production sites. • All suppliers have signed the group’s Code of Conduct; 181 suppliers underwent quality audits in 2025.

Recognition • Included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026 as the sole company from the global children’s-products industry and honoured as an “Industry Mover.” • CYBEX received an EcoVadis Bronze Medal, and the group won Forbes China’s ESG Benchmark award.

Goodbaby International states that sustainability is fully integrated into product development, operations and governance as it targets long-term value creation for shareholders and wider stakeholders.
