Nomad Foods' stock plummeted 6.56% intraday on Friday, following the release of its Q1 2026 earnings question-and-answer session transcript.

During the Q&A, management disclosed that price negotiations caused significant temporary disruption in its key European markets of France and Germany. This included suspended orders and canceled promotions, leading to out-of-stocks and weaker market share through March and April. While pricing has now been secured and shelves are being restocked, the company indicated that the impact from April is expected to weigh on its second-quarter performance.

Additional factors highlighted include a strategic shift signaling broader portfolio flexibility beyond its "healthy" positioning, with more details planned for a fall Analyst and Investor Day. Management also noted that private label competition is expected to raise prices with a lag, and the resulting elasticity impact is anticipated to pressure results in Q2.
