Bank of Qingdao Shareholder Haier Industrial Plans to Offload Approximately 107 Million Shares

The bank has recently received notification from its shareholder, Qingdao Haier Industrial Development Co., Ltd.

This shareholder directly holds about 532.6 million shares, representing a 9.15% stake in the bank's total share capital.

In a formal letter, the shareholder indicated its intention to reduce its holdings.

The planned share sale involves approximately 107 million shares, which equates to 1.84% of the bank's total issued shares.

The disposal is scheduled to occur over a three-month period starting from 15 trading days after a specific pre-disclosure announcement was made.

This period is set from June 26, 2026, to September 25, 2026, subject to regulatory restrictions and blackout periods.

The shares will be sold through block trade transactions on the exchange.

Since its initial investment, Haier Industrial Development has maintained a positive cooperative relationship with the bank.

The company stated that this planned share reduction will not affect the ongoing partnership between the two entities.

As of the date of this announcement, the Haier Group collectively holds a significant stake in the bank through its various affiliated companies.

The combined holdings of these entities total approximately 1.056 billion shares.

This aggregate stake represents 18.14% of the bank's total share capital.
