A major project by the global testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) leader Aplux Group has successfully secured land in Jiangmen, officially establishing its base in the Ziyingshan Intelligent Manufacturing Park, Luokeng Town, Xinhui District. The process from signing to land acquisition took only 44 days.
The Aplux Global Testing and Certification Service Jiangmen Base project involves a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan, covering approximately 16 mu of land with a planned construction area exceeding 16,000 square meters. It will feature two high-standard fire testing laboratories, one acoustics laboratory, and a research and development testing center. Upon completion, the project will fill the gap in high-end fire and acoustic testing and certification services for Jiangmen and the surrounding regions.
Founded in 1907 and headquartered in Spain, Aplux Group operates globally and is highly regarded in sectors such as industrial products, aerospace, and construction materials. It is recognized as an authority and standards-setter in international fire and acoustic testing. The Jiangmen base is a joint investment by Aplux and the domestic top-tier firm Case Quality Technical Service Co., Ltd., achieving a deep integration of "world-leading technology and China market expertise."
Notably, addressing the urgent need for international certification services within Xinhui District's industrial clusters—such as shipbuilding, offshore engineering equipment, and new construction materials—the completed base will provide prefabricated building material and ship manufacturing enterprises with "local testing, global recognition" one-stop services. These services will cover over 40 major global markets including the EU, the US, and Australia. This initiative aims to resolve the longstanding issues of long-distance, high-cost, and time-consuming international product testing for exports. It is expected to reduce local companies' export testing and certification cycles by two-thirds and significantly lower cross-border compliance costs.
Furthermore, leveraging Aplux's century of technical expertise, the project will assist companies in overcoming international technical barriers, such as ultra-high fire resistance limits and acoustic noise reduction for deep-sea equipment. This effort will drive the regional industry's transformation from "factor-driven" to "innovation-driven" and "standards-driven," fostering a virtuous cycle of "testing R&D — standards formulation — manufacturing upgrade."
"The project advancement has allowed us to deeply appreciate the 'Xinhui sincerity' behind the 'Greater Bay Area speed.' From initial contact and finalizing intent to site selection, implementation, and plan approval, the relevant departments of Xinhui District and Luokeng Town demonstrated exceptional professionalism and service awareness. The highly efficient coordination throughout the entire process significantly strengthened our investment confidence," stated Zhang Guoliang, the project leader for the Aplux Global Testing and Certification Service Jiangmen Base. He added that the project plans to obtain construction permits and commence work by the end of May, striving for completion and operation within the year to accelerate project development.
