Shares of Sherwin-Williams (SHW) surged 5.42% in pre-market trading, as investors reacted positively to the company's fiscal second-quarter results and an improved full-year earnings outlook.

The paint and coatings manufacturer reported adjusted earnings per share of $3.70, comfortably surpassing the consensus analyst estimate of $3.52. Revenue rose 7.5% year-over-year to $6.789 billion, also beating expectations of $6.602 billion. The company cited selling price increases and volume growth as key drivers behind the strong top-line performance. Additionally, Sherwin-Williams raised its full-year 2026 adjusted earnings per share guidance to a range of $11.80 to $12.20, which is above the prior FactSet consensus estimate of $11.76.

Supporting the bullish sentiment, several Wall Street analysts had raised their price targets on the stock heading into the earnings release, with RBC Capital and BMO Capital setting targets of $405 and $400 respectively, both maintaining Outperform ratings.
