Viasat Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAT) experienced a significant 5.04% decline in its stock price during after-hours trading. The satellite communications company reported its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2026 financial results, which fell short of market expectations.

The company posted quarterly revenue of $1.17 billion, missing the FactSet consensus estimate of $1.2 billion. While revenue showed a 2% year-over-year increase, Viasat reported an adjusted loss of $0.02 per share for the quarter. Additionally, the adjusted EBITDA metric slipped 1% to $370 million, contributing to negative investor sentiment.

Analysts noted that the results were roughly in line with Wall Street estimates but weren't sufficient for a stock that had gained 846% over the past 12 months. The company's forward guidance for mid-single-digit revenue growth in fiscal 2027 with roughly flat adjusted EBITDA failed to excite investors who had elevated expectations following the stock's remarkable run-up.
