Jiangsu's First "Token Loan" Launches in Yancheng, Injecting Financial Momentum into AI Enterprises

The Yancheng branch of Bank of China has successfully completed the province's and region's first innovative financing project under the "Token Loan" initiative.

This credit product, designed specifically for AI computing power enterprises, moves away from traditional reliance on fixed-asset collateral. Instead, it bases credit assessments on dynamic operational data such as enterprise token consumption and computing power orders. The first recipient, Shishi Technology (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., has been granted a 5 million yuan pure credit working capital facility, using financial innovation to bolster Yancheng's digital economy and the growth of new quality productive forces.

As the operator of the Yancheng Supercomputing Center, Shishi Technology handles a daily throughput of hundreds of billions of tokens, primarily providing AI computing services to sectors including scientific research, high-end manufacturing, and aerospace. Such tech-driven enterprises typically operate under an asset-light model, lacking traditional collateral and often facing cash flow pressures in their daily operations.

Moving beyond conventional lending approaches tied to fixed assets, the Yancheng branch has leveraged dynamic business metrics—such as token settlement data, token supply and consumption volumes, and computing contracts or orders—to approve unsecured credit, effectively easing the company's operational cash flow burden.

The "Token Loan" program addresses financing needs across the AI industry chain through three dimensions: token supply, application, and services. Individual borrowers can access up to 10 million yuan in pure credit financing with terms of up to three years. By shifting the credit evaluation logic from traditional collateral to real-time business data, this initiative opens a new financing pathway for asset-light tech enterprises.
