Parkway Life Real Estate Investment Trust announced on Jun, 30 2026 that it has completed the divestment of a nursing home in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, for 9.4 million Singapore dollars.
The price is about 38% higher than the asset’s 2008 acquisition cost and 5% above its independent valuation dated Dec, 31 2025. The transaction is expected to generate a pre-tax disposal gain of roughly 0.6 million Singapore dollars.
The buyer is K.K. Etoile, the property’s existing operator and a subsidiary of the Yoshimei Group. Parkway Life REIT said the sale, part of its ongoing portfolio optimisation and asset-recycling strategy, allows it to unlock value from a mature asset and reduce future capital expenditure.
Following the deal, the trust’s portfolio stands at 74 properties with a combined value of about 2.6 billion Singapore dollars across Singapore, Japan and France.
