By requesting just three days of annual leave, employees can now enjoy a 13-day holiday spanning the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day break, a strategy that has gone viral on social media platforms under the hashtag "Extended Break Planning."

The Mid-Autumn Festival in 2026 falls on September 25 (Friday) through September 27 (Sunday), totaling 3 days, while National Day runs from October 1 (Thursday) to October 7 (Wednesday), lasting 7 days. By taking leave only for the three working days of September 28, 29, and 30, workers can seamlessly connect the two holidays, creating a continuous 13-day vacation from September 25 to October 7.

Flight ticket bookings are already surging, and travel agencies are reporting a significant pickup in customer acquisition, with the booking pace shifting much earlier than in previous years.
