Another Company's 587Ah Battery Cell PACK Line Begins Production

Deep News
Aug 12

Another energy storage firm has announced the production launch of its large-capacity battery cell products. Recently, 博时储能 declared that its 587Ah cell PACK production line has been successfully completed and the first batch of products has officially rolled off the line.

First Product from 587Ah Cell PACK Line

On August 11, 博时储能 announced a new milestone in its capacity expansion at the Jiashan manufacturing base, where the dedicated 587Ah cell PACK automated production line, designed for the large-capacity, long-duration energy storage market, has completed all installation and commissioning, achieving full production readiness. According to sources, this line represents a targeted expansion based on the stable operation of multiple existing mature PACK lines. It is equipped with a full suite of automated production processes, multi-axis industrial robotic arms, an intelligent AGV material transport system, and a digital central control platform. This setup enables real-time monitoring of all production parameters and full traceability of quality data, meeting the high-precision production requirements of large-capacity cells with a highly automated and digital hardware configuration. Going forward, the line will initiate trial production verification as planned, steadily progressing through capacity ramp-up. Once at full scale, it will work in synergy with existing lines, producing 587Ah cell energy storage PACK products to supply commercial and industrial storage projects and containerized storage stations both domestically and internationally. This will meet both standardized unit delivery and customized OEM/ODM needs, building a more resilient supply system for large-capacity products.

Six Companies Already Mass-Producing 587Ah Cells, With Three More Expected in the Second Half of the Year

According to incomplete statistics from industry sources, based on public disclosures, six companies have already achieved mass production of 587Ah large-capacity cells: 宁德时代 (300750), 赣锋锂业 (002460), 天合光能 (688599), 海辰储能, 融捷能源, and 瑞浦兰钧 (00666). (Note: Mass production status is based on the latest official public disclosures from each company; companies without such information are not included.) Additionally, since 2026, products with 500Ah+ capacity, such as 远景动力's 790Ah, 欣旺达 (300207)'s 588Ah, and 中创新航 (03931)'s 640Ah, have also been launched and mass-produced. Companies like 因湃电池, 鹏程无限, and 鹏辉能源 (300438) are planning to join the mass production ranks in the second half of the year. As the pace of centralized mass production for 500Ah+ large-capacity cells accelerates, related orders have been placed in bulk, and the industry has officially entered the "real test" delivery phase. For example, 宁德时代 had cumulatively shipped over 5GWh of its 587Ah large-capacity storage cells by April this year. In July, multiple orders landed both domestically and internationally: 融捷能源 signed a 5GWh storage supply agreement with India's JSW, featuring 588Ah cells; 远景动力's Yichang super factory shipped its first batch of 790Ah cells to Germany; and 鹏程无限 secured a long-term supply contract for 25GWh of cells, with 5GWh of that allocated to 587Ah large cells, with delivery spanning 2027 to 2028. Policy developments are also favorable for large-capacity cells. With the implementation of the GB/T 46957-2025 safety standard and Document No. 41 effective July 1, strict limits have been placed on the number of cells in a single series string. Under the new regulations, traditional 300+Ah cells require many series connections to achieve standard storage cluster energy, easily hitting the management cap. In contrast, 500+Ah cells, benefiting from their large capacity, significantly reduce the number of series connections, offering a clear compliance advantage. Overall, the path for large-capacity cells, from mass production to commercial deployment, is becoming clearer. However, actual delivery volumes and project progress in the second half of the year remain key verification points, and the industry will continue to monitor this closely.
