This year, Anqing City has focused on the practical needs of enterprises "going global," intensifying efforts in policy support, service guarantees, and risk monitoring to accelerate the construction of a foreign-related intellectual property protection barrier integrating "policy guidance + service assurance + risk monitoring," giving "Yiyi" enterprises greater confidence to expand overseas.

Many enterprises in the city are engaged in cross-border e-commerce and product exports, but not many truly understand overseas intellectual property rules. To bridge the "last mile" of service delivery, the city has established the "Anhui Platform Anqing Workstation Cross-border E-commerce Association Service Liaison Point for Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Response Guidance," extending service reach directly to the doorsteps of enterprises. Simultaneously, a directory of key enterprises for foreign-related intellectual property risk prevention and control has been created, with the first batch including 47 companies, and another 4 designated as overseas intellectual property observation enterprises. To date, the city has handled 6 overseas dispute response guidance cases, recovering economic losses of over 2 million yuan.

To keep risks at bay, both forward-looking precautions and precise early warnings are essential. This year, the Provincial Intellectual Property Office launched an overseas intellectual property risk early warning project, with only 5 enterprises in the province selected, and a smart technology company from Anqing City was among them, achieving a "zero breakthrough" for provincial-level projects of this kind. In response to the common problem of trademarks being registered overseas without authorization, the city took the lead in the province by launching a special service for "risk monitoring and early warning of overseas trademark squatting." Professional institutions were commissioned to dynamically monitor trademarks of key export enterprises, with the first batch selecting 5 trademarks from 5 companies as monitoring targets. A municipal trademark protection directory database was also established, providing "one-on-one" rights protection guidance for medium and high-risk enterprises to help them proactively resolve potential overseas trademark squatting risks.

Participating in overseas exhibitions is an important way for many enterprises to explore markets, but it is also a high-risk area for intellectual property disputes. The city has established a reporting and guidance mechanism for overseas exhibitions, issuing its first "Overseas Exhibition Intellectual Property Compliance and Risk Notification Letter." This letter systematically outlines major risk points—including patent infringement, trademark squatting, temporary injunctions, and on-site enforcement—across three stages: pre-exhibition checks, in-exhibition response, and post-exhibition follow-up, ensuring enterprises can attend exhibitions with a "protective charm."
