GLOBAL NEW MAT (06616) has announced that a research project, "Development of Long-Wear Cosmetics-Grade Synthetic Mica Powder," has successfully passed a scientific and technological achievement evaluation.
The project, a collaborative effort by the group's subsidiaries Zhejiang Hongzun Technology Co., Ltd., Guangxi Caishen Pearlescent Pigment Co., Ltd., and Luzhai Caishen Pearlescent Mica Material Co., Ltd., was assessed by the Zhongke Hechuang (Beijing) Scientific and Technological Achievement Evaluation Center.
It was awarded the "Scientific and Technological Achievement Evaluation Certificate" (Certificate No. Zhongke Ping Zi "2026" No. 12788), which recognizes that the project's overall technology has reached a domestically leading and internationally advanced level.
Addressing common industry challenges such as low yield of fine-particle synthetic fluorophlogopite powder, poor hydrophobicity in cosmetics, easy agglomeration, and weak alkalinity that can cause skin discomfort, the group has independently developed an integrated preparation process.
This process for long-wear synthetic mica powder combines pre-treatment, rinsing and desorption, grinding, centrifugal separation, spray drying, condensation modification, and airflow dispersion.
It simultaneously addresses hydrophobic modification, pH regulation, and resistance to hard agglomeration. Through the coordinated optimization of surface treatment and dehydration drying processes, it effectively enhances the powder's dispersibility and spreadability in oily systems.
The process also strengthens resistance to water, sweat, and sebum while improving skin affinity. The application of this project is expected to facilitate the efficient use of synthetic mica powder in the high-end cosmetics sector and promote the advancement of powder raw material technology within China's cosmetics industry.
The recognition of its domestically leading and internationally advanced technological achievement signifies a steady enhancement of the group's independent innovation capability and engineering transformation capacity in the fields of synthetic mica processing and functional surface treatment.
This is advantageous for the group as it seeks to further promote its scientific and technological achievements within the surface performance materials industry, expand its client base to include leading domestic and international brands, and elevate its technological barriers and brand premium.
The granting of this achievement evaluation is primarily attributed to the group's advanced comprehensive R&D strength and technological innovation capabilities. It is anticipated to have a positive impact on the promotion and application of the R&D results, although no significant immediate effect on the company's financial performance is expected.
