Tencent executes HKD 500.80 million buyback; cumulative repurchases under 2026 mandate reach 33.37 million shares

Tencent Holdings Limited reported that on 2 July 2026 it repurchased 1.15 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices ranging between HKD 429.60 and HKD 443.40 per share, for a total consideration of HKD 500.80 million. All shares repurchased on the day are designated for cancellation.

Including the latest transaction, shares awaiting cancellation arising from repurchases between 24 June and 2 July 2026 total 7.09 million, equivalent to approximately 0.08 per cent of Tencent’s 9.09 billion issued shares outstanding as of 2 July 2026. No new shares were issued during the period, keeping the company’s issued share count unchanged.

Since the current buyback mandate was approved on 13 May 2026, Tencent has repurchased 33.37 million shares—0.37 per cent of the shares outstanding on the mandate date—out of an authorised limit of 911.80 million shares. In accordance with Hong Kong listing rules, Tencent is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until 1 August 2026.
