Kyivstar Group Ltd (KYIV) saw its stock price soar 5.10% during intraday trading on Wednesday, following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results and an upgraded full-year forecast.

The telecom operator reported quarterly earnings of $0.37 per share, beating analyst estimates of $0.35 and representing a 76% increase from the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter reached $323 million, also exceeding consensus expectations. The company raised its 2026 revenue growth outlook to 11%-14% in U.S. dollar terms, up from its previous forecast of 8%-11%, while also increasing its core profit (EBITDA) growth forecast.

Management cited improved energy stability in Ukraine and rising geopolitical optimism as factors contributing to increased confidence. The company's digital revenue more than doubled year-on-year, accounting for 21% of total revenue. Kyivstar's parent company, Veon, also raised its full-year revenue outlook, noting that a softer U.S. dollar increased the value of revenue earned in local currencies across its markets.
