Laguna Resorts & Hotels returns to profit in Q2, H1 earnings climb

Laguna Resorts & Hotels Public Company Limited reported a turnaround for the three-month period ended Jun, 30 2026, posting a net profit of 129.3 million Singapore dollars after a 138.8 million Singapore-dollar loss a year earlier. Revenue almost doubled to 1,938.5 million Singapore dollars from 1,006.1 million Singapore dollars, driven by a jump in property development income to 1,206.6 million Singapore dollars versus 264.0 million Singapore dollars in the prior-year quarter. Basic earnings per share moved to a positive 0.83 Singapore dollars from a negative 0.75 Singapore dollars.

For the first half of 2026, group revenue rose 18% year on year to 4,408.8 million Singapore dollars, while net profit advanced 11% to 605.6 million Singapore dollars. Profit attributable to shareholders reached 631.4 million Singapore dollars, up from 555.4 million Singapore dollars in the same period of 2025, lifting basic earnings per share to 3.79 Singapore dollars from 3.33 Singapore dollars.

Hotel operations generated 2,141.9 million Singapore dollars in first-half revenue, broadly stable against last year, whereas property development revenue surged to 2,208.5 million Singapore dollars from 1,473.8 million Singapore dollars. Finance costs edged up to 116.2 million Singapore dollars.

The board approved an interim dividend of 1.45 Singapore dollars per share, amounting to 241.7 million Singapore dollars, at the annual general meeting held on Apr, 22 2026.

Auditor EY issued an unmodified review conclusion dated Aug, 11 2026 but highlighted that the company’s free-float remains below Stock Exchange of Thailand requirements. Trading in the firm’s shares has been suspended since Jun, 5 2025 and the bourse has placed an NC (Non-Compliance) tag on the stock, which could lead to delisting at the exchange’s discretion.
