Hong Kong Stock Movers: Anker Innovations Surges in Afternoon Trading After Major Energy Storage Deal

Stock News

Anker Innovations (00668) surged nearly 7% in the afternoon session, trading up 6.09% to HK$116.7, with turnover reaching HK$32.8127 million.

In recent news, the company's consumer energy brand Anker SOLIX has signed a 3-gigawatt-hour strategic cooperation agreement for new energy storage with OSW, a prominent Australian new energy distributor. The core products include new home storage solutions represented by the Anker SOLX XE, as well as next-generation solar, storage, and charging solutions for the future.

According to Huatai Securities, Anker Innovations experienced a dual-hit to its growth and stock price last year due to a one-time recall of small chargers and a downturn in the energy storage sector. The broker believes that with risks clearing, the company is now facing a dual inflection point in both fundamentals and valuation. The core small-charger business is improving in efficiency, while the large-charger segment is entering a fast growth track. With valuation at a trough and room for a rebound, coupled with the liquidity boost from the H-share Stock Connect inclusion, future platform and vertical expansion are expected to further raise the company's long-term ceiling.
