OKP Holdings Limited released a set of responses on Apr, 22 2026 to questions submitted by a shareholder before the company’s annual general meeting scheduled for Apr, 28 2026.

The board said the group maintains sizeable cash reserves to meet performance-bond requirements, satisfy tender prequalification rules and ensure working-capital stability during project cycles. Excess cash is held in short-term deposits and cash equivalents to capture higher yields while preserving liquidity.

Management reiterated that future capital-management actions, including dividends or share buy-backs, will be considered case-by-case, but the priority remains a strong balance sheet that supports its core construction and maintenance businesses.

Explaining last year’s one-for-one bonus issue, the company noted that the move was intended to reward shareholders, widen the free float and improve trading liquidity without utilising cash.

Regarding cost pressures, OKP disclosed that construction materials represented 12.1 per cent of fiscal-year 2025 cost of sales, compared with 15.8 per cent in fiscal-year 2024. Purchases of materials totalled 18.3 million Singapore dollars in FY2025 and 19.5 million Singapore dollars in FY2024, indicating limited margin impact from raw-material price volatility.

The group said property investment is not a core business. Rental income was temporarily affected by renovations at its Perth asset, with occupancy expected to improve after completion. OKP remains open to selective diversification opportunities but will focus chiefly on Singapore public-sector infrastructure projects.

Responding to suggestions to expand into worker-dormitory developments, management stated that any such move would be evaluated cautiously and likely pursued through partnerships to protect capital and concentrate on areas of established expertise.
