Ark Invest Boosts CoreWeave Stake While Trimming Robinhood Position

According to Woofun AI, Cathie Wood's Ark Invest completed a major portfolio adjustment on Wednesday, significantly increasing its stake in AI infrastructure giant CoreWeave, Inc. (ASX: CRWV) while simultaneously reducing its holdings in Robinhood (ASX: HOOD). This move highlights the reallocation logic of institutional funds between technology growth stocks and crypto-related assets.

Woofun AI data shows that Ark purchased 143,673 shares of CoreWeave through the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) and bought 70,916 shares through the ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW), bringing the total added position to 214,589 shares. It is worth noting that CoreWeave carries a $2.6 billion AI infrastructure loan. If service failures occur on three consecutive payment dates leading to client contract terminations, it could trigger an accelerated repayment mechanism, forcing the company to draw on collateral account funds. The loan has a term of approximately five years, while client contracts average only three years, creating a maturity mismatch risk.

On the same day, Ark sold 151,903 shares of Robinhood through ARKK. Affected by rising U.S. Treasury bond yields, a strengthening dollar, and Middle East conflicts, market risk appetite cooled, and Robinhood's stock price fell in tandem with BTC. Despite facing macroeconomic headwinds, Robinhood still purchased $25 million worth of BTC. Senior Vice President John Kerbrat emphasized that this move is intended to support the cryptocurrency ecosystem and does not represent a strategic shift.

Analysts remain optimistic about Robinhood's outlook. Barclays (ASX: BCS) analyst Benjamin Budish maintained an 'Overweight' rating and raised the target price from $105 to $132. Bank of America (ASX: BAC) maintained a 'Buy' rating on Monday, raising its target price from $140 to $156.
