Golden October brought soaring popularity to the landscape tourism of the Li River in Guilin. According to statistics from the Guilin Maritime Safety Administration, during the "October 1st" National Day Golden Week, waterway passenger transport in the Guilin jurisdiction of Guangxi remained at a high level, with a cumulative total of 615,300 passengers traveling by boat. On October 7 alone, 33,600 passengers were dispatched on the water. To maintain a consistently stable water safety situation in the jurisdiction, the Guilin Maritime Safety Administration carried out various water safety assurance tasks in a solid manner. During the National Day holiday, the Guilin Maritime Safety Administration focused on the core scenic area of the Li River, key passenger transport routes, tourist distribution terminal docks, shallow shoals, and key navigable waters, comprehensively tightening safety supervision responsibilities. The administration strictly implemented a 24-hour duty system with dedicated personnel and leadership shifts, with law enforcement forces deployed to the front line, adopting a control model of fixed-point stationing at key docks and uninterrupted patrols in key waters.
In response to the characteristics of large vessel traffic and high operating frequency during the National Day holiday, the administration continuously increased on-site vessel inspection efforts, focusing on verifying the seaworthiness of passenger vessels and sightseeing rafts, strictly investigating prominent illegal acts such as vessel overloading and overcapacity, unlicensed operation, and illegal operations. Safety hazards discovered were immediately investigated and rectified, resolutely preventing vessels from operating "while sick." At the same time, the administration adopted a dual supervision model of "intelligent monitoring plus on-site law enforcement," relying on the intelligent water supervision system to implement all-weather online monitoring of vessel navigation dynamics in the jurisdiction. Combined with changes in peak periods of passenger and vessel flow, it dynamically adjusted patrol forces and patrol time periods, promptly guiding water vessel traffic flow, regulating the overall water navigation order, preventing water safety risks such as vessel collisions, grounding, and stranding from the source, and making every effort to ensure that waterway transport in the jurisdiction remains safe, controllable, stable, and orderly.
