International Tower Hill Mines Ltd has announced a significant restructuring of its senior management, appointing David Wiens as Chief Executive Officer and Director, and Shane Parrow as President, Chief Operating Officer, and Director. Current CEO Karl Hanneman will transition to the roles of Strategic Advisor and Director to facilitate a seamless handover.

This leadership change comes at a pivotal time for the company, which holds a 100% interest in the Livengood Gold Project in Alaska. The project boasts a resource base of 13.6 million ounces of gold, positioning it as one of the largest undeveloped gold projects in the United States. The company is now focused on completing a feasibility study, advancing permitting, securing financing, and preparing for project development.

The newly appointed CEO, David Wiens, brings over 20 years of experience in mining finance and capital markets. During his previous role as Chief Financial Officer at Asante Gold Corp., he led approximately US$1 billion in innovative financing transactions. Newly appointed President Shane Parrow possesses nearly 30 years of operational experience in both open-pit and underground mining, having most recently served as Vice President and General Manager at Kinross Alaska, where he successfully led the development and commissioning of the Manh Choh project.

To demonstrate confidence in the company’s future, Wiens has agreed to subscribe for US$200,000 in common shares of the company. The company has also granted restricted share units to both new executives as performance incentives.
