Seatrium Ltd shares surged 3.30% during Friday's intraday trading session, following the release of its stellar first-half financial results for the period ended June 30.
The marine and offshore engineering specialist reported that its net profit more than doubled, soaring 158% year-on-year to S$373 million. This was driven by one-off gains from asset divestments and improved project margins. Excluding the divestment gains, net profit still grew a robust 54% to S$212 million. Revenue for the half-year rose 4.7% to S$5.6 billion, while gross margin widened to 8.6% from 7.4% a year earlier.
The company also highlighted a net order book of S$13.3 billion with deliveries through to 2033, and it expects full-year 2026 net profit to be materially higher than the previous year. The strong operational performance and positive outlook provided a clear catalyst for the intraday rally.
