National Day Holiday Return Travel Safety Tips

Deep News
Oct 06

As the National Day holiday enters its fifth day and the latter half of the break, many people have begun heading back early. Traffic management authorities predict that starting today, a peak in return traffic will appear on routes heading into Beijing, with the afternoon period seeing the most concentrated flow of vehicles returning to the capital. Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing Railway Station, Beijing North Railway Station, Capital International Airport, and Daxing International Airport will also welcome peak return passenger flows during the holiday.

According to dynamic assessments by the Ministry of Transport, on October 5, 36 sections of national highways are prone to congestion, mainly concentrated in provinces such as Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, and Guangdong. If you plan to pass through these sections, please arrange your travel time and route reasonably. List of congestion-prone sections based on dynamic assessment (October 5).

Driving Safety Reminders for the Return Trip

Before driving yourself, pay attention to the weather and make good plans. Be alert to rain, snow, and patchy fog, and follow standard driving practices. Please keep this holiday return safety reminder handy.

Special Reminder

"Smart driving" is absolutely not "autonomous driving." When "smart driving" is activated, keep both hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. It is strictly forbidden to take your hands off the wheel, look away, or doze off while distracted!

Special Reminder

In autumn, some highway sections are prone to patchy fog. When driving in fog, always remember to "reduce speed, control distance, and turn on lights."

Risk Prevention at Stations, Airports, and Other Locations During the Return Trip

During the peak return period, places such as stations and airports are crowded with large flows of people. Parents traveling with children must not be distracted and must not let children out of sight. At the same time, as stations and airports are densely populated places, what other risks should you be alert to? What should you do in an emergency? Please keep this safety guide handy!
