Waters Corporation (WAT) shares surged 6.18% in pre-market trading Tuesday after the company reported second-quarter financial results that exceeded analyst expectations and raised its full-year outlook.

The laboratory equipment and diagnostics company posted adjusted earnings of $3.05 per share, surpassing the consensus estimate of $3.01. Revenue came in at $1.65 billion, more than double the year-ago figure and above the $1.62 billion forecast. The strong performance was driven by robust demand for laboratory instruments and consumables, as well as better-than-expected growth from its recently acquired biosciences and diagnostics businesses, which generated $817 million in their first full quarter under Waters.

Looking ahead, Waters lifted its fiscal 2026 adjusted earnings guidance to a range of $14.45 to $14.65 per share, up from $14.40 to $14.60 previously, and above the analyst consensus of $14.52. The company also raised its revenue forecast to $6.42 billion to $6.48 billion, citing broad end-market strengthening and building integration momentum from the acquired assets.
