Corpay, a global leader in corporate payment solutions, has recently announced the launch of its Agent Card feature. This new service enables the secure creation of virtual cards for AI-powered commercial workflows.

The functionality allows authorized AI agents to generate and use virtual cards within predefined control limits, independently completing approved business transactions. As AI agents increasingly assist enterprises with procurement, travel, advertising, and other business processes, the demand for secure, flexible, and automation-compatible payment infrastructure is growing.

Agent Card brings virtual card control mechanisms into these new AI-driven scenarios, helping businesses manage payment flows with greater confidence. This new feature is a key step in Corpay's AI-first strategy, following the launch of its AI virtual assistant for the Corpay Complete platform in April 2026.

The Agent Card feature supports both user-directed agent experiences and machine-to-machine payment workflows. By integrating identity verification, spending intent authorization, and open standards for AI connectivity, it can collaborate with mainstream AI agent platforms to complete secure payments on behalf of customers. This architecture allows clients to flexibly select the AI tools best suited for their business processes while ensuring spending control policies are enforced.

Corpay's president of Commercial Card business stated, "Agent commerce is opening new frontiers for corporate payments. With Agent Card, we allow authorized AI agents to initiate secure and controlled payment workflows under the principles of authorization, control, visibility, and security."

Corpay's Chief AI Officer added, "Virtual cards are highly suitable for agent commerce because they can be precisely controlled for specific purposes. This makes them an ideal payment method for AI-driven workflows, meeting the enterprise's need for automation without sacrificing governance."

The Agent Card feature is designed to support a range of business applications, including supplier payments, digital ad purchases, travel bookings, and procurement workflows. This positioning reflects Corpay's ongoing commitment to investing in modern payment infrastructure in the AI era, helping businesses securely adopt new technologies.
