Hong Kong Stock Market Update: Asymchem Shares Surge Over 20% in Afternoon Trade on Strong First-Half Orders

Asymchem Laboratories (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. (06821) saw its share price extend gains by more than 20% during the afternoon session, with its A-share counterpart quickly hitting the daily limit up. At the time of writing, the stock was trading 20.25% higher at HK$133.6, with turnover reaching HK$369 million.

On the evening of August 24, the company released its interim results. For the first half of the year, it reported total operating revenue of RMB 3.607 billion, a 13.13% increase year-on-year, or a 16.20% rise under constant exchange rates. Net profit attributable to shareholders came in at RMB 520 million, down 15.71% year-on-year, primarily due to higher exchange losses from the appreciation of the yuan. Adjusted net profit, however, grew 12.90% to RMB 753 million.

Emerging business segments have become a key growth driver. Revenue from these services reached RMB 1.304 billion, surging 72.49% year-on-year, or 75.10% under constant exchange rates. Additionally, as of the interim report release date, the company's total orders on hand amounted to USD 1.673 billion, up 53.77% year-on-year. New orders signed between early 2026 and the interim report date grew 54.59% year-on-year, with chemical macromolecules and biological macromolecules seeing particularly rapid order growth, laying a solid foundation for accelerated performance expansion in the coming periods.
