Integer's stock plummeted 7.91% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the medical-device company's release of first-quarter results and revised financial guidance.
The company reported a 36% drop in first-quarter operating income to $32 million, citing headwinds tied to three new products that are not seeing expected adoption rates. While revenue inched up 0.5% to $440 million, the significant profit decline raised concerns among investors.
Integer also lowered its full-year 2026 outlook, now expecting sales of $1.81 billion to $1.84 billion, down from its prior range and below analyst estimates. Adjusted earnings per share guidance was reduced to $5.83-$6.40 from $6.29-$6.78 previously. Adding to investor uncertainty, the company's board initiated a strategic review to maximize stockholder value, including exploring options such as a sale, merger, or other strategic business combination.
