Samudera Shipping Line signs contract for 696-TEU container vessel

Samudera Shipping Line announced that its subsidiary, Blue Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd. (BOS), entered into a shipbuilding contract on Aug, 6 2026 with Zhejiang Xinle Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. as builder and Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd. as seller for one new 696-TEU container vessel.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery to BOS in the first half of 2028. The company said the deal is in the ordinary course of its business and will not have a material impact on the Group’s net tangible assets or earnings per share for the financial year ending Dec, 31 2026.

Samudera Shipping Line added that none of its directors or controlling shareholders has any direct or indirect interest in the transaction, aside from their shareholdings in the company.
