May 13

Infinity Natural Resources (INR) experienced a 5.58% plunge in post-market trading following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results.

The sharp decline came as the company reported a quarterly loss of $0.35 per share, which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $0.91 by a substantial margin of 138.46%. While sales of $154.872 million exceeded expectations by 8.59%, the significant earnings disappointment appeared to drive negative investor sentiment in the after-hours session.

The company's net loss narrowed to $6.3 million from $2.27 per share loss a year ago, and adjusted EBITDAX grew 70% year-over-year driven by higher production and recent acquisitions. However, the earnings miss relative to expectations overshadowed these improvements, leading to the stock's decline.
