AGTECH HOLDINGS (08279) saw its share price surge more than 9% during intraday trading, last trading 7.58% higher at HK$0.71 with a turnover of HK$4.7742 million.
On the news front, AGTECH HOLDINGS announced in January that its subsidiary TGX had entered into a technical service agreement with the Hong Kong Gold Exchange Limited. On July 23, the company further announced that to implement the cooperation under the technical service agreement, TGX and the Hong Kong Gold Exchange Group have formed a joint venture. The joint venture aims to design, develop, operate, and maintain a secure and stable core platform co-owned by TGX and the Hong Kong Gold Exchange Group for the group, its users, and other clients.
Notably, AGTECH HOLDINGS submitted an application to the Stock Exchange on June 18 to transfer its listing to the Main Board. The board believes that a transfer to the Main Board will help enhance the group's brand recognition as a comprehensive fintech conglomerate; strengthen the group's interaction and connections with users, merchants, financial institutions, business partners, and investors; and support the group in continuing to seize and expand business opportunities within its current market positioning.
