KB Laminates' stock soared 7.84% during intraday trading on Wednesday, reflecting strong investor interest in the copper-clad laminate manufacturer.
The surge appears driven by multiple positive industry developments. Morgan Stanley's analysis of NVIDIA's next-generation Rubin rack revealed a 233% increase in PCB value compared to previous generations, jumping from US$35,100 to US$116,700 per cabinet. This represents the largest value increase among non-memory components and suggests growing demand for high-end PCBs.
Additionally, the copper-clad laminate industry continues to experience supply-demand tightness, with Korean PCB manufacturers placing extraordinary pre-orders with Chinese CCL manufacturers due to supply disruption concerns. Delivery cycles for certain high-end products have extended to over six weeks. KB Laminates has demonstrated strong pricing power, having implemented two rounds of 10% price increases across all CCL products in April, with cumulative increases exceeding 40%.
