Wuhan YZY Biopharma Co., Ltd. (YZY Biopharma) disclosed that two pivotal studies for its core bispecific antibody candidate, M701, have been accepted for presentation at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, marking a significant milestone in the programme’s international visibility.
The Phase III study evaluating M701 in patients with malignant ascites (Abstract No. 104) has been granted an oral presentation within the meeting’s Clinical Science Symposium—one of the event’s most competitive formats. The multicentre, randomised, controlled, open-label trial, led by Dr. Xu Jianming of The First Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital, will be presented on 31 May 2026. Selection for an oral session underscores ASCO’s recognition of the study’s clinical value and academic impact.
Complementing this, a Phase II prospective, randomised, controlled trial (Abstract No. 12061) assessing M701 in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC)–related malignant pleural effusion has been chosen for a poster presentation on 30 May 2026. The data will highlight M701’s potential across multiple malignant serous cavity effusion indications.
M701 is a recombinant bispecific antibody targeting epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) and cluster of differentiation 3 (CD3), engineered to redirect T-cell cytotoxicity toward tumor cells. By focusing on malignant ascites and malignant pleural effusion—both severe complications with limited therapeutic options—YZY Biopharma aims to address pressing unmet clinical needs in tumour supportive care.
The ASCO selections further elevate M701’s profile among global oncology stakeholders and support the company’s strategy to advance clinical development and foster international collaborations.
In line with Rule 18A.05 of the Hong Kong Listing Rules, YZY Biopharma cautions that successful development and commercialisation of M701 remain subject to further clinical validation and regulatory approval. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise prudence when dealing in the company’s shares.
