Major US Retail Brokers Allocate at Least One SpaceX Share to Each Eligible Investor

Customers at several leading US retail brokerage firms have each been allocated at least one share of SPCX (SpaceX) stock from the recent initial public offering. This distribution method highlights the deliberate effort to reserve a significant portion of the offering for participation by individual investors.

Official representatives from platforms including Robinhood, Charles Schwab, Fidelity Investments, and SoFi Technologies confirmed that all eligible clients who submitted applications to purchase the new shares received an allocation.

Reports indicate that approximately 20% of the total new shares in the SpaceX IPO were allocated to individual investors worldwide. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that market demand for the offering exceeded $100 billion, with many investors seeking larger allocations ultimately receiving fewer shares than anticipated. The stock completed its second day of trading on Monday, closing 43% above its $135 IPO price, giving SpaceX a corresponding market valuation of $2.5 trillion.

Robinhood disclosed within its app on Monday that a total of 855,424 clients submitted purchase applications at the offer price through its IPO access channel, with all applications receiving an allocation. The company did not disclose the extent to which the actual shares allocated to clients were reduced compared to the amount requested.
