Fair Isaac, a global leader in analytics software, celebrated its 70th anniversary at the FICO World 2026 conference in Orlando, USA. The company launched a new brand campaign titled "Hello Future" to honor its seven-decade legacy of innovation and to look ahead to the emerging era of applied intelligence.

Fair Isaac was founded in 1956 in San Francisco by engineer William Fair and mathematician Earl Isaac with an initial investment of just $400. The two were convinced that using computers and mathematics to analyze data could solve complex business problems, a forward-thinking concept that marked the beginnings of what is now recognized as artificial intelligence.

Over 70 years, Fair Isaac has achieved numerous milestone innovations: it introduced the first commercial credit risk model in the late 1950s; launched the first application processing software in 1972; debuted the Fair Isaac score in 1989, which is now used by 90% of top U.S. lenders; and in 1992, released the first AI-driven payment fraud detection system, Fair Isaac Falcon Fraud Manager, which currently safeguards over 4 billion payment accounts worldwide.

FICO World 2026 also marks the company's 50th customer conference, having grown from its inaugural event in 1976 with just 100 attendees to now attracting thousands of business leaders from over 60 countries to explore the latest advancements in AI and applied intelligence.

Fair Isaac CEO Will Lansing remarked that 70 years ago, Bill Fair and Earl Isaac aimed to change how the world makes decisions. They succeeded and paved the way for today's AI revolution.
