Since the start of July, the Market Supervision Administration of Huaxi District, Guiyang, has been focusing on the specific safety risks associated with special equipment during the peak tourism season. The administration has adopted a two-pronged strategy targeting both travel and accommodation scenarios to carry out specialized inspections and foster a safe and reassuring environment for tourists.

To secure the safety of tourist travel, the administration is concentrating on densely populated areas such as scenic spots and amusement parks. Inspections are being conducted on key equipment including escalators, sightseeing vehicles, and large amusement rides, with a focus on verifying safety accessory testing, operator certifications, and the availability of emergency rescue supplies. This approach aims to protect visitors throughout their journeys.

To guarantee safety in tourist accommodation, comprehensive inspections are being conducted on special equipment in local hotels, including elevators, boilers, and pressure vessels. The checks emphasize verifying that periodic equipment inspections are up to date, that routine maintenance is properly performed, and that safety warning signs are correctly displayed. These measures are intended to reinforce the accountability of equipment-using entities.

To date, the administration has deployed over 30 enforcement personnel, inspected more than 20 equipment-using units, and conducted random checks on over 40 pieces of special equipment. Five safety hazards were identified during the inspections, such as inadequate safety signage and equipment not being registered for use, and all of these have been fully rectified.

Looking ahead, the Huaxi District Market Supervision Administration will continue to intensify its efforts in identifying and addressing safety hazards related to special equipment. With a focus on key areas such as scenic spots, amusement parks, and hotels, the administration will further solidify the accountability of equipment-using entities to maintain a stable safety record and ensure that tourists can enjoy both their travels and stays with complete peace of mind.
