Amundi Asset Management has appointed Ray Jian as Head of Fixed Income for North Asia, excluding Japan. He will retain his role as Head of the Emerging Markets Multi-Sector Bond Strategy. His base will shift from London to Hong Kong, China, and he will report to Florian Neto, Head of Investments for Asia, and Sergei Strigo, Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income.
Ray Jian brings more than 19 years of experience in global emerging markets and high-yield credit. In his expanded capacity, he will continue to oversee the management of the Emerging Markets Multi-Sector Bond Fund while taking on the responsibility of developing diversified fixed income investment strategies for clients in North Asia, excluding Japan.
Prior to his relocation to Asia, Ray Jian was based in London, where he led the Emerging Markets Multi-Sector Bond Strategy. He joined Amundi in 2013 as an investment analyst and was promoted to portfolio manager in 2016. Before joining Amundi, he spent six years as a fixed income trader at the London branch of Bank of China.
