Chagee Holdings Limited has teamed up with Xiamen Airlines to introduce a charcoal-roasted orange peel Wuyi cinnamon tea, marking the brand's first foray into in-flight dining at 10,000 meters.
Starting August 20th, passengers on flights operated by Xiamen Airlines departing from Xiamen, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Tianjin, or Hangzhou with a scheduled flight time of 90 minutes or more can order this tea and its accompanying meal set through the airline's app or mini-program.
The exclusive tea blend features Wuyi rock tea, specifically the cinnamon variety, as its base. This premium tea undergoes traditional rock tea processing, delivering robust notes of roasting, florals, and woody aromas. The addition of orange peels from Gannan navel oranges, chenpi from Quzhou, and lemon peels from Anyue creates a layered citrus profile that unfolds progressively. A matching flavored cake is also available as a tea accompaniment, and those who purchase the meal set receive a limited-edition fridge magnet.
A representative from Chagee Holdings Limited indicated that the company plans to continue collaborating with partners across various industries to bring Eastern tea to more diverse settings. The brand is actively expanding its tea-drinking scenarios, including introducing low-caffeine options for afternoon and evening consumption. Additionally, Chagee Holdings Limited is rolling out group meal discounts across various regions, offering custom cup sleeves, table setup services, and targeting occasions such as birthday parties, small meetings, wedding banquets, and team-building events.
