Nanhua Futures released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance Report, outlining progress in carbon reduction, board-level oversight and rural revitalisation funding after achieving a dual listing on the Hong Kong and Shanghai stock exchanges in December 2025.
The board’s Strategy Committee leads ESG supervision, supported by cross-departmental teams covering compliance, risk and audit. In 2025 the board met nine times with 100% attendance, while specialist committees held 16 meetings in total; independent directors make up at least half of each key committee.
Operational emissions continued to decline. Total Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse-gas emissions fell 6.6 % to 1,015.73 tCO₂e. Direct emissions (Scope 1) dropped 15.6 % to 53.66 tCO₂e, driven by a 20.3 % cut in natural-gas use. Indirect emissions (Scope 2) slipped 6.1 % to 962.07 tCO₂e as purchased electricity consumption decreased 6.1 % to 1.81 million kWh. Emission intensity improved to 0.0073 tCO₂e per RMB 1 million of revenue, down 8.8 %.
Total energy consumption declined 16.0 % to 2.05 million kWh, and energy intensity fell 9.5 % to 14.77 kWh per RMB 1 million of revenue. Water use edged down 1.5 % to 5,680 tonnes. Paper consumption rose 46.1 % to 445,500 sheets due to IPO documentation and contract growth; electronic-signing initiatives are being expanded to reverse the increase. No significant environmental violations were recorded.
Employee headcount stood at 1,045, comprising 525 men and 520 women; turnover was 18 % for men and 11 % for women. All staff received performance-linked training, averaging 18.49 hours per person. No work-related fatalities or lost-time injuries occurred.
Supply-chain due-diligence covered all 49 active suppliers. No material information-security breaches or corruption cases were reported. Intellectual-property protection advanced with four new software copyrights registered during the year.
Community investment intensified. Donations to external welfare projects reached RMB 3.09 million, while rural-revitalisation funding totalled RMB 6.94 million, including continued expansion of the “Ganlin Plan” scholarship programme that has supported 249 university entrants to date.
The company’s ESG efforts were recognised with multiple industry honours, including the China Fortune “Golden Lion” rural-revitalisation award and selection for the “Zhejiang Merchants ESG Classic 100” list.
Management states that climate-scenario analysis, renewable-energy deployment and scope-3 data collection will be priority areas for future disclosure enhancements.
