Nanofilm Technologies International Limited said it has issued written responses to substantial questions submitted by shareholders in advance of its Annual General Meeting scheduled for Apr, 29 2026 at its Tai Seng Drive premises in Singapore.
The company reiterated that its business-development efforts are centred on key sectors such as semiconductor manufacturing and hydrogen fuel cells. Management stated that project contracts typically include milestone-based payments or termination clauses to mitigate the impact of early cancellations.
Regarding the Dongguan joint venture, Nanofilm said its 30.8% interest, alongside local partners’ stakes, is intended to create a “locally anchored partnership.” The firm noted that governance safeguards are in place to manage any potential conflicts linked to the participation of employee Jin Xiao Zhe through HeChuang Tech Pte. Ltd.
On research activities, Nanofilm highlighted the NTI-NTU Corporate Laboratory, funded under Singapore’s RIE2025 plan, as a platform for lower-TRL research that can be transitioned to commercial development within the group’s Advanced Technology Research Centre or business units.
The company also reported ongoing deployment of artificial-intelligence tools in coating design, process control, production optimisation and selected corporate workflows, noting early productivity gains.
Responding to a query about increasing free float, the board said any decision by controlling shareholder Dr Shi Xu to place out shares remains at his discretion; the company itself continues to evaluate options to strengthen its shareholder base.
Nanofilm’s responses were signed off by Chief Financial Officer Lim Kian Onn on Apr, 24 2026.
