A hotel in Antu County, Yanbian Prefecture, Jilin Province, has recently opened, drawing attention for its unique design built from retired green train carriages at the Old Baihe Station site. This establishment offers a mix of accommodation, leisure, and photography experiences, aiming to provide an immersive stay for visitors.

On August 13, a staff member from the Changbai Mountain Train Holiday Hotel explained that bookings are currently only accepted via phone. After confirming the itinerary and room type, guests pay a deposit online and settle the remaining balance at the front desk upon arrival. The hotel offers four room types: a king bed room, a twin bed room, a family room, and a suite. The family room includes one large bed and one small bed. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, bathrooms, and other essential amenities.

In terms of pricing, the king bed room costs 1,280 yuan per night, the twin bed room 1,340 yuan, the suite 2,100 yuan, and the family room 1,880 yuan. All room types are fully booked from now until the end of the month. The staff member noted that the room size is based on the train carriage dimensions, with each room covering about 20 square meters. Each carriage contains three to four rooms. The bathrooms and showers are designed to be very private, ensuring no issues with privacy. Additionally, the hotel has hired a formaldehyde treatment specialist to purify the air.

"The hotel's train carriages are stationary, and the property itself is designed as a photo-friendly spot, especially beautiful when the lights are turned on at night. There's also a nearby Heluo Park for visitors to explore," the staff member added. The hotel is part of a renovation project at the Baihe Station, which was originally built in 1974, blending half a century of railway history with the scenic beauty of the Korean pine forest. It preserves the industrial railway aesthetic while incorporating volcanic hot spring experiences, creating an immersive "stay in a train on Changbai Mountain" resort concept.

Guests arriving by high-speed rail at Changbai Mountain Station can check in at the Shen Railway Changbai Mountain Tourist Service Center within the station, receive their room cards, and store luggage. The hotel also offers departing guests complimentary access to a business lounge at Changbai Mountain Station, which includes a quiet rest area, hot and cold drinks, charging stations, and luggage storage services. Baihe Station was once a key terminal on the Hunbai Railway, serving as a vital link for local residents and witnessing the evolution of railway-driven cultural tourism development. The hotel retains the original station building, old tracks, and vintage locomotives, while creatively transforming retired green carriages into themed rooms, a restaurant, and leisure spaces, revitalizing the long-dormant station and fostering a synergy between industrial heritage preservation and innovative cultural tourism.
