China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec Corp) has filed a Next Day Disclosure Return dated 12 August 2026, detailing its latest share-repurchase activities on both the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (H-shares) and the Shanghai Stock Exchange (A-shares).

H-share buybacks • Between 18 June and 21 July 2026, the company repurchased 80.09 million H-shares for cancellation at prices ranging from HKD 4.01 to HKD 4.29 per share. • The repurchases represent about 0.34 % of the 23.78 billion H-shares outstanding prior to the programme. • Based on a volume-weighted average price of roughly HKD 4.12, the total consideration is estimated at HKD 329.70 million. • All H-shares bought back remain uncancelled as at 12 August 2026.

A-share buybacks • From 18 June to 12 August 2026, Sinopec acquired 97.85 million A-shares for cancellation on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, equal to approximately 0.10 % of the 97.14 billion A-shares in issue. • Purchase prices ranged from RMB 4.46 to RMB 5.21 per share. • The cumulative cash outlay is estimated at RMB 467.71 million. • The latest transaction, executed on 12 August 2026, involved 1.10 million A-shares at between RMB 5.04 and RMB 5.09, costing RMB 5.57 million. • All repurchased A-shares are also pending formal cancellation.

Capital base unchanged Despite the buybacks, Sinopec’s issued share capital remains unchanged at 23.78 billion H-shares and 97.14 billion A-shares, totalling 120.93 billion shares. The company confirms that all repurchases were conducted in accordance with Hong Kong and Shanghai stock exchange regulations and that no material changes have occurred to the previously published explanatory statement.
