At the Global New Energy Vehicle Cooperation and Development Forum (GNEV2026), held in Shanghai from August 19 to 21, Great Wall Motor Company Limited's Deputy General Manager of the Technical Center, Zhu Yongqing, revealed that the company's international operations have become the primary engine of its financial performance.

During his speech at the event, themed "New Pathways for Global Cooperation in the Automotive Industry" and hosted by Chebai International, Zhu disclosed that from January to July 2026, Great Wall Motor exported 350,000 vehicles, marking a year-on-year surge of more than 48%. This robust growth underscores the pivotal role overseas markets now play in the group's earnings.

Zhu emphasized that a long-term strategic vision forms the cornerstone of Great Wall Motor's globalization efforts. The company prioritizes sustainable, synergistic growth over fleeting market trends or short-term gains. He argued that true globalization cannot be achieved through a simplistic "one-car-fits-all" approach; instead, it demands tailored products that address the unique conditions and consumer preferences of each regional market.

In response to the world's diverse energy mixes and customer tastes, Great Wall Motor's technological strategy is built on a foundation of "global reach, full powertrain coverage, and comprehensive scenario adaptation." By starting with product definition and architecture, the company is developing global vehicle platforms that integrate its full-stack GWM technology and establish a unified global tech brand.

Zhu concluded that Great Wall Motor's international expansion is not a short-term sales push but a long-term commitment rooted in complete powertrain technologies, comprehensive ecosystem development, and full regulatory compliance, ensuring a durable presence in markets worldwide.
