Goldwind's stock price surged 5.15% during Monday's intraday session, driven by the company's robust first-quarter financial performance and a newly announced capital return initiative.
The wind turbine manufacturer reported exceptional Q1 2026 results, with revenue jumping 63.48% year-over-year to RMB 15.485 billion and net profit attributable to shareholders rising 59.65% to RMB 907 million. External sales volume for wind turbines skyrocketed 133.45% to 6,040.89MW, while the gross margin reached 16.8%, significantly surpassing market expectations.
Further boosting investor confidence, the company announced a plan to repurchase RMB 300-500 million worth of its A-shares using proprietary funds for cancellation. This move signals strong management belief in the company's value. The positive results and capital allocation strategy prompted Citi to raise its earnings forecasts for Goldwind for the next two years by 8-9%, while Dongwu Securities maintained its Overweight rating on the stock.
