Rambus (RMBS) shares soared 5.36% in pre-market trading on Tuesday, joining a broader rally across storage and memory stocks.

The surge comes as storage shares continue to rally in premarket trading, with Rambus rising alongside peers. The rally was sparked by UBS more than tripling its price target on Micron Technology, citing the emergence of long-term supply agreements that will structurally transform the company's earnings profile. UBS noted that hyperscalers have already secured approximately 60% to 70% of industry server DDR5 volumes under enhanced long-term agreements, providing stability to the memory sector.

Analysts highlighted that memory remains the AI backbone, with demand outstripping supply through 2026-2027, creating strong tailwinds for companies like Rambus in the storage and memory space.
